Western Growers Insurance Services has added Paul Barry and Kris Hansen in California.
Barry joins the insurance services team as a sales executive, bringing more than 10 years of sales experience. Barry will focus on expanding Western Growers’ client base in Northern California and providing risk management solutions customers.
He most recently worked for a brokerage firm in San Jose.
Hansen will serve as the insurance services team’s new sales executive. He will be responsible for brokering employee benefit insurance products to Western Growers’ customers in the Ventura, Paso Robles and Bakersfield areas.
Hansen was previously a business owner for 27 years, owning a concrete construction company and an insurance agency.
Western Growers Insurance Services is the wholly owned insurance brokerage of Western Growers.
Champion Risk & Insurance Services in San Diego, Calif., has hired Joseph Deutsch.
He is tasked with growing the firm’s high net worth personal lines department.
Deutsch has been providing high net worth personal lines insurance across Southern California for the last 10 years. Deutsch is a former owner of Community First Insurance Services and Ranch and Coast Insurance Services.

Majam is the main contact for clients whose accounts she has been assigned.
Majam has 34 years of insurance industry experience. She was previously vice president of personal lines for Orr & Associates Insurance Services. Before that, she was the office manager for North County Insurance.

RIC Insurance General Agency has named Gary Wells a business development manager.
Wells is tasked with expanding the firm’s marketing efforts, working primarily with retail insurance agents and brokers in the San Francisco Bay area.
He was previously a senior sales executive with Travelers. He was an independent agent prior to that.

Cantlon now leads the surety efforts throughout the company.

Denver, Colo.-based Valen Analytics has named Kirstin Marr president of the firm.
Dax Craig, Valen’s president and CEO since co-founding the firm, will remain in an advisory role.
Marr was Valen’s chief marketing officer for more than six years. Marr has held a variety of leadership roles with organizations like HomeAdvisor and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
Valen provides data, analytics and predictive modeling for property/casualty insurers.
AssuredPartners Inc. has named Lisa Kammerer chief financial officer over its Western region. Kammerer will report to Randy Larsen, the new Western region president.
Kammerer has worked for Lockton, Van Gilder Insurance Corp., AirSure Ltd. and AssuredPartners.
AssuredPartners acquires and invests in insurance brokerage businesses across the U.S. and in London.
JLT Specialty USA has added Bill Creedon and Jeff Burns as partners who will be based in Denver, Colo.
The additions support JLT’s partnership with Construction Risk Partners. As part of CRP’s national leadership team, Creedon and Burns will lead expansion efforts in the West.
Creedon was previously was Fairly Group, and with Willis Towers Watson.
Burns was most recently was with Willis Towers Watson.
