Risk Strategies, a privately held, national insurance brokerage and risk management firm, has appointed Scott Stamper as managing director to run day-to-day operations and help guide the growth of Atlass Insurance Group, the company’s recreational and commercial marine division.

Stamper has been with Atlass for 17 years. He began his brokerage career in 1986 working with World Marine Underwriters in Fort Lauderdale.

Atlass joined the Risk Strategies family of companies in May of 2016.

In his new role, Stamper will focus on growth and further expanding Atlass’ reach both within the Risk Strategies family of companies and beyond. He will also serve as part of the senior leadership team in Florida under Risk Strategies’ Florida regional leader, Scott Popilek.

Stamper will be based out of Atlass’ Fort Lauderdale office and will also oversee the Atlass offices in Cocoa, Fla., and Newport, R.I.

Risk Strategies Company is a privately held, national firm with offices across the country serving commercial companies, non-profits, public entities and individuals.

Chris Panettiere has been appointed as Lockton’s new senior vice president of Employee Benefits. He will be based out of the company’s Atlanta office.

Prior to joining Lockton, a privately held, independent insurance broker and consultant, Panettiere headed the Georgia Health and Benefits Practice for Willis Tower Watson. He was responsible for strategy development and execution, profits and losses, sales, retention, recruiting, mentoring and growing the employee benefits operation for the Savannah and Atlanta offices.

He also worked with employers to evaluate and implement employee benefit plan management which included strategy and plan design, administration, communication and vendor management.

In his new role at Lockton, Panettiere will work with a national group of specialists. Panettiere has worked with organizations in the transportation, home improvement, financial services, consumer products textile industries and property management space.

Brentwood Services Administrators Inc. (BSA), headquartered in Brentwood, Tenn., has hired DeeDee Beckwith in the position as a claims adjuster trainee in its occupational injury unit in the new Florence, Ala., office.

As a claims adjuster trainee, Beckwith will be responsible for reviewing, processing and handling occupational injury indemnity claims. She determines the compensability of the claim and extent of liability, and communicates directly with clients, employers, injured works, physicians and attorneys to manage claims. She will be training with Jim Stewart, claims supervisor.

Before joining BSA, Beckwith was a legal assistant with John C. Saylor LLC in Florence, Ala.

Brentwood Services Administrators Inc., a third-party administrator, provides claims management and loss control services to employers and employer associations for workers’ compensation and other casualty lines throughout the U.S.

Prime Risk Partners has added J. Scott Tofil to the company as executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Tofil succeeds Robert Schneider, who remains as a consultant to the company.

Tofil began his career as a CPA with a local public accounting firm in Atlanta followed by his service as the controller at Matrix Resources, an IT Recruiting Firm, from 1992 until 1999. He then served as controller for several startups from 1999 until 2005 before joining Beecher Carlson in May 2005, where he served as vice president and controller. After Brown & Brown acquired Beecher Carlson in 2013, Scott served as senior vice president, chief financial officer and chief accounting officer of its Beecher Carlson division until joining Prime Risk Partners.

Prime Risk Partners is buildings its national insurance distribution platform through selective acquisitions and new hires. The company is headquartered in Atlanta.

Regions Insurance, an affiliate of Regions Bank, has named Mike Breedlove executive vice president of Property & Casualty Operations. Breedlove will be responsible for leading the company’s property and casualty strategy across the country through a growing network of offices throughout the Southeastern U.S., Texas and Indiana.

Breedlove currently serves as regional executive for the Southeast region of Regions Insurance and will continue in that capacity. The Southeast region includes offices in Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, Arkansas and Texas. He is based in the company’s Alpharetta, Ga., office

Prior to joining Regions Insurance in 2012, Breedlove was affiliated with WS Pharr & Co. for more than 20 years, including five years as president and chief operating officer.
