Global loss adjusting firm McLarens has promoted Susan Froman to senior vice president of Business Development – The Americas.

Froman joined McLarens three years ago to recruit and establish the domestic business development and global marketing teams for McLarens. Froman’s 20 years of experience includes sales, business development, marketing, branding and management roles in property restoration, disaster recovery, and the last 10 years in loss adjusting within the excess and surplus lines market.

As senior vice president and a member of the global management team, she will expand client relationships in the Americas, work with both executive and operations teams to enhance client services, and lead change management solutions.

Froman is located in the company’s Atlanta office.

McLarens is a global claims services provider with offices around the world focusing on complex, commercial and niche markets.

Atlas Insurance Management, a captive insurance management firm, has hired Gail Olsen as senior vice president of Finance & Compliance. Based in the firm’s Charlotte, N.C., office, Olsen brings to Atlas over 25 years of experience as a finance executive in a variety of industries.

Before joining Atlas, Olsen worked for NorthGate, a family-owned packaging, warehousing and reverse logistics company. In this role, Olsen also helped NorthGate achieve ISO certification. Prior to that, she worked for Teramu Cardiovascular Systems, a cardiovascular implant development company.

At Atlas, Olsen will be in charge of finance, human resources, information technology and compliance. She will report to Executive Vice President Elaine Tapp.

Atlas Insurance Management is an independent insurance management firm, providing captive insurance consulting, formation and management services in the major U.S. and offshore domiciles.

Michael O’Donnell has been named president of the Aviation Practice Group at SterlingRisk Insurance, an independently owned insurance brokerage firm based in Destin, Fla.

O’Donnell, who joined SterlingRisk in 2011, most recently served as executive vice president of its Aviation Practice Group.

As president, O’Donnell will be responsible for all aspects of the operation and development of the aviation specialty practice as the company continues to expand its aviation specialty line.

Prior to joining SterlingRisk, O’Donnell served as vice president for Aviation Insurance Services of Florida; branch manager for NationAir Insurance Agencies, overseeing both the Los Angeles and Atlanta offices; and vice president for Marsh within the aviation practice group.

Headquartered in Destin, Fla., the SterlingRisk Aviation Practice Group provides insurance and risk management programs to owners, operators, and managers of aviation-related properties and businesses, including commercial fixed and rotor-wing operators, corporate aircraft, instruction and rental fleets, fixed base operators, manufacturers and distributors of aviation-related products, and maintenance repair and overhaul facilities.

Carl Shephard, the former president of the Aviation Practice, will continue to serve the group in a consulting role.

Heritage Insurance Holdings Inc., a property and casualty insurance holding company based in Florida, has appointed Kirk H. Lusk as its chief financial officer.

Until April 28, 2018, Lusk will serve as co-chief financial officer with Steven Martindale, the company’s current CFO. Martindale’s contract expires on April 28, 2018, and he intends to pursue financial consulting opportunities. Martindale will remain involved with the company and has been appointed to its board of directors, upon which time Lusk will transition to sole CFO of the company.

Lusk joined the Heritage team on Nov. 30, 2017, when it acquired NBIC Holdings Inc., the parent company of Narragansett Bay Insurance Co. (NBIC).

Lusk served as CFO for NBIC since January 2013.

He has over 20 years of finance and insurance experience working as an underwriter, controller and CFO. Prior to NBIC, Lusk served as international chief financial officer of Aetna Inc., CFO of Alea Group Holdings Bermuda Ltd., and CFO of GE Employers Reinsurance Corp. Global Casualty and GE.
