Connie Clarke has been appointed president of TDECU Insurance Agency LLC in Lake Jackson, Texas.
Clarke brings more than 20 years’ experience in both the insurance and financial services industries to the organization.
Clarke is responsible for integrating and executing a strategy for profitable growth within TDECU Insurance Agency. Using data-based decision making, Clarke will also ensure the strategy aligns with TDECU’s organizational initiatives while adapting to a changing insurance landscape.
Prior to joining TDECU, Clarke was the regional manager and owner of American National/Clarke Risk Management Group. Additionally, Clarke’s experience includes positions with Zurich Financial, Allstate, The Hartford and State Farm.
Clarke holds insurance licensing in both property/casualty and life/health.
North Texas-based privately owned independent insurance agency and brokerage firm, Swingle Collins & Associates, has named LeAnn Collins as the company’s director of Talent.
As a key member of the leadership team, Collins will work closely with the executive team to ensure a dynamic culture and continue to build the agency’s talent pool.
Prior to joining Swingle Collins, Collins was senior vice president of Human Resources and Marketing for Gemini Rosemont Commercial Real Estate, where she was responsible for all aspects of the company’s human resources and marketing initiatives including training, recruiting, employee benefits, organizational development and decision-making for the company’s marketing efforts.
Her experience includes director of Human Resources at Ernest Health Inc., and senior director of Human Resources at TriCore Reference Laboratories, both in Albuquerque, New Mexico, along with a variety of progressively responsible HR positions at several organizations in Oklahoma and Minnesota.
Collins holds the Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) designation from the Human Resource Certification Institute.
Independent wholesale insurance broker All Risks Ltd. has added Nancy Batten as energy property broker in its Dallas office.
Batten has nearly 30 years of experience in the insurance industry on the wholesaler side. Most recently, she served as vice president, director of Well Control/Energy Property at Towerstone Inc. in Dallas. She was responsible for the Control of Well/Energy Property Department, and managed all of the control of well risks and the majority of the complex energy property placements for the office.
Previously, Batten was the vice president, control of well underwriter at Swett & Crawford in Dallas, where she performed underwriting duties for an exclusive control of well program on behalf of two national carriers.
Batten holds the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Insurance Service Representatives (CISR) professional designations.

Specialty insurer Beazley has appointed John Moy as U.S. marine insurance underwriter within its newly launched U.S. marine platform.
Moy will be responsible for underwriting and building the company’s U.S. hull, protection and indemnity (P&I), and liability business for the marine and marine construction sectors.
He will report to Steve Vivian, head of U.S. marine at Beazley.
Moy joins from Water Quality Syndicate in New York where he was chief underwriting officer.His career includes stints with the U.S. Merchant Marine, private shipping organizations and the insurance sector, including the setting up and management of marine underwriting operations. He currently serves on the Liability and Energy committees of the American Institute of Marine Underwriters.
Beazley announced in November 2017 that it is establishing a U.S. marine platform with the strategic aim of capturing opportunities that do not typically get placed outside of the U.S. domestic market.
Beazley has been an insurer of marine risks in the Lloyd’s market in London since 1999.
Insurance advisor and broker Willis Towers Watson has named Louise Pennington as large account leader for its Corporate Risk and Broking segment.
In this newly created role, Pennington will be responsible for large account growth strategy, focusing on Fortune 1000 clients across multiple industries.
Pennington will continue to manage a portfolio of business in this key segment. She is an 18-year industry veteran and joined Willis Towers Watson in 2012.
