Hudson Insurance Group has added Wallace Moreman as senior vice president. In this new position, Moreman will establish a subcontractor default insurance (SDI) business for Hudson.
Christopher Gallagher, president and CEO of Hudson, said Moreman is part of the original team that brought subcontractor default insurance to market nearly 20 years ago. Moreman’s experience in the SDI market dates back to the product’s origin in the late 1990s. He spent more than 15 years at Zurich North America, most recently serving as executive vice president.
His background includes various positions in insurance sales, marketing and operations, focused on commercial markets and the consumer goods, manufacturing, construction, environmental, healthcare, real estate, banking and energy sectors.
Moreman is based in Atlanta and reports to Hudson’s chief underwriting officer, Christopher Suarez.
Headquartered in New York City with offices throughout the U.S. and in Vancouver, Canada, Hudson is a specialty insurer that offers a wide range of property and casualty insurance products to corporations, professional firms and individuals through retailers, wholesalers and program administrators.
Hudson underwrites specialty primary and excess insurance on an admitted basis through Hudson Insurance Co. and on a non-admitted basis through Hudson Specialty Insurance Co. and Hudson Excess Insurance Co.
INSUREtrust has announced the promotion of Christiaan Durdaller to executive vice president.
In his new role, Durdaller will develop and grow INSUREtrust’s strategic partnerships in select cities across the country. Durdaller said the company plans to add more strategic partnerships in 2018 in select U.S. cities.
Durdaller joined INSUREtrust in January 2014 as Professional Liability broker, and was promoted to national director of Sales in December 2014. In that position, he managed broker relations and oversaw INSUREtrust’s client base on a national level. Previously, he worked at the law firm Smith, Spires & Peddy P.C. in Birmingham, Ala.
INSUREtrust, located in the Atlanta metro area, is a national insurance wholesaler focused on cyber liability insurance.
Andrew Marcus, a former senior attorney and deputy director with Florida’s Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR), has joined Holland & Knight’s Tallahassee office as a member of the firm’s Florida Government Advocacy Team.
Marcus advises insurers, health care providers, third party administrators and other related clients in the areas of insurance, health and administrative law. He was deputy director of Life and Health Product Review and assistant general counsel at the Florida OIR from 2013 to 2016 during the implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
He has experience with product filings, market conduct examinations, financial examinations and licensing and merger applications.
He also served as an assistant state attorney in the Twelfth Judicial Circuit of Florida, where he litigated more than 40 jury trials. Most recently, Marcus was a co-partner in the St. Petersburg-based firm of Marcus & Manning, P.A.

As the Private Risk Management managing director and member of the BKS leadership team, Nash will be responsible for leading all the business development and client stewardship teams within the Private Risk Management group.
Nash joins BKS-Partners with more than a dozen years of experience in the high-net-worth insurance industry. Most recently, Nash served as vice president, West Zone Sales leader at Marsh Private Client Services. There she was responsible for leading the new business development team for the western United States.
