Keleigh Buchanan has been promoted to vice president at Dallas-based independent insurance broker, RHSB.
A member of RHSB’s Private Client Group, she has been with RHSB for five years and has 16 years of experience in the insurance industry.
Buchanan is a licensed insurance professional working with families and individuals to manage their personal risk by finding the best insurance solutions while maximizing value.
She holds the Certified Personal Risk Manager designation.
RHSB, a member of the privately held risk management and insurance brokerage group Assurex Global, has offices in Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas.
Global insurance broker Hub International Limited (HUB) named Marc Cohen, currently president, as president and chief executive officer, effective Jan. 1, 2018. He also will be a member of the board of directors.
Cohen will succeed as CEO and continue to report to Martin P. Hughes, who maintains his position as executive chairman at HUB.
As president and CEO, Cohen will be responsible for the financial strategy, including directing organic sales and mergers and acquisitions activity.
He has been with HUB for more than three decades and was named president of HUB in January 2017, replacing Richard Gulliver. Cohen previously was regional president of HUB’s East region.
Cohen entered the training program at HUB International Group Northeast (HUB NE) after college in 1988. He became a vice president in 1994 and a senior vice president in 1997. In 1999 he was appointed president of Program Brokerage Corp. and Claims Administration Corp., HUB NE’s wholesale insurance subsidiary and claims management divisions, respectively. Simultaneously, he was named president of Old Lyme Insurance Co. of Rhode Island, a HUB NE underwriting subsidiary that was subsequently sold. In January 2004, Cohen was named president and CEO of HUB NE and Program Brokerage Corp.
The Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation has hired Timothy P. Riley as the division’s new deputy commissioner of Compliance and Investigations.
Riley most recently served as vice president of Special Investigations for Texas Mutual Insurance Co., the state’s largest provider of workers’ compensation insurance coverage.
Riley previously served as a senior staff attorney with Texas Mutual, and as a staff attorney for DWC’s predecessor, the Texas Workers’ Compensation Commission. He has also served as a deputy staff judge advocate while serving in the U.S. Army in South Korea, and as Claims Division chief in the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate at Fort Hood.
Hotchkiss Insurance Programs LLC, based in Dallas, appointed Timothy Sunderman as president.
He assumes operational responsibility and reports to CEO Michael Hotchkiss. Sunderman’s primary focus will be to preserve, optimize and grow Hotchkiss Insurance Programs alongside the current leadership team.
Sunderman brings nearly two decades of insurance experience with an extensive background in residential construction, inland marine, commercial casualty, and program development and management.
Most recently, he served as divisional vice president with Great American Insurance Group’s property and inland marine division.
Sunderman holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate of Insurance Management (AIM) professional designations.
Regions Insurance, an affiliate of Regions Bank, hired David Linhardt as state executive for Arkansas and Texas.
Linhardt will oversee Regions Insurance operations in the Little Rock, Fayetteville and Fort Smith markets in Arkansas, and the firm’s Houston, Dallas, Texarkana and Waco markets in Texas. He is responsible for maintaining key industry and recruiting relationships, along with driving the enhancement and execution of the company’s long-term strategic initiatives within those states.
Linhardt succeeds Fred Stone who has transitioned to a business development role with Regions Insurance.
Linhardt brings more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry to his new role. Before joining Regions Insurance, Linhardt was with Travelers, CNA and most recently was regional vice president for The Hartford in Dallas. He began his insurance career at Kemper Insurance in 1989.
