Gov. Eric Greitens has tapped Chlora Lindley-Myers to lead the Missouri Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions and Professional Registration.
Her appointment is subject to approval by the Missouri Senate.
Lindley-Myers currently serves as deputy commissioner at the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance. As Tennessee’s deputy commissioner, she oversees the Insurance, Securities, Tennessee Law Enforcement Academy, TennCare Oversight divisions, as well as the human resources and legislative functions.
She has served as the director of Consumer Protection and Anti-Fraud Division at the NAIC, and as chief compliance officer of examinations for the Kentucky Department of Insurance. Lindley-Myers also previously served as the property/casualty section chief for the Missouri Department of Insurance. As the deputy commissioner of Tennessee’s Department of Commerce and Insurance, she was awarded the Robert Dineen Award for Outstanding Service and Contribution to the State Regulation of Insurance.
An attorney, Lindley-Myers is licensed to practice law in various states, including Missouri.
Kyle Orndorff has been promoted to lead insurance broker in IMA Inc.’s Wichita, Kan., office. He will oversee nearly 200 employees and manage IMA’s service to clients in the greater Kansas area.
He formerly was chief people officer for the IMA Financial Group Inc., and joined IMA in 2004.
Additionally, Valerie Metcalfe has been promoted to vice president and director of human resources for IMA Financial Group, IMA’s parent company. She has been with IMA for 11 years and previously managed multiple functions within the HR department.
Insurance broker Lockton named Amanda Ruback to the newly created position of senior vice president and major client strategist in the firm’s Chicago operation. She will focus on Fortune 1000 clients.
Ruback previously served as an account executive specializing in food and beverage manufacturers and distributors, retail and real estate portfolios. universities and colleges, and global manufacturers.
She also has worked with PepsiCo Inc., as part of the company’s risk management team.
Ruback holds the ARM, AU and AIS insurance designations.
Missouri-based POWERS Insurance and Benefits promoted Meaghan Dowd to insurance advisor. She will provide specialized insurance guidance and professional advice to the clients and prospects.
Prior to her promotion, Dowd served as a personal account manager at POWERS Insurance and Benefits. Previously she worked as a customer service representative and producer at several local insurance agencies.
Dowd recently earned her Personal Lines Coverage Specialist (PLCS) certification.
CNA named Douglas Worman to fill the newly created position of executive vice president and chief underwriting officer. He reports to Dino E. Robusto, CNA chairman and chief executive officer.
Worman most recently served as the CEO of U.S. Insurance at Endurance Holdings. Worman also held executive positions at Alterra Capital Holdings (which was acquired by Markel Corp. in 2013) and Sharebridge Private Equity Consolidated. He began his insurance career as an underwriter at AIG, where he eventually became president and CEO of the carrier’s Excess Casualty Group, formerly known as American Home.
Ashley Kelsch joined the North Dakota Insurance Department as public information officer. Kelsch previously served as a communications professional in the office of North Dakota Gov. Jack Dalrymple.
Kelsch provides media and public relations services, develop promotional campaigns for new projects and services, plan and coordinate special events, and perform research and analysis of industry data. She will also maintain the department’s website and social media outreach.
USI Insurance Services (USI) added Tammi Barker, Bridget Day and Dave Petno in the USI Independence, Ohio, office.
Barker, who joins the firm as account manager, has more than 17 years of insurance experience, including 11 years focused on employee benefits. Prior to USI, Barker was with Accelerated Benefits.
Day, who also joins as account executive, has 11 years of employee benefits experience, which includes four years with Cleveland-based insurance brokerage firm, Britton Gallagher, and seven years in human resources with the cities of Dublin and Solon, Ohio.
Petno, a consultant, was an employee benefits consultant for Accelerated Benefits for over 15 years. Previously, he held executive positions with Health Raise Alliance and Vantage Health.
