Dallas-based risk management consulting and insurance agency, Dexter & Company, has promoted Royce DeRouen and David Rambie to executive roles.
In his new role as senior vice president, DeRouen oversees the Risk Management Consulting division and leads a team of account executives at the firm.
DeRouen is now responsible for Dexter & Company’s expansion in North Texas. He has been with the company for nearly 20 years, and currently serves as a board member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Dallas.
Rambie brings 10 years of insurance experience to his new position as vice president at Dexter & Company. Serving as a producer for eight years with the Dallas agency, he has gained experience through educating businesses and individuals on the most beneficial insurance solutions while proactively managing clients’ day-to-day risks.
Dexter & Company has office locations in Dallas and College Station, Texas.
Irving, Texas-based WebTPA, a provider of health plan management services and an AmWINS Group company, appointed Megan Rigby as chief growth officer.
As an extension of her past accomplishments in expanding WebTPA’s national footprint as executive vice president, Rigby will be responsible for maintaining WebTPA’s long-term development and continued leadership in the managed healthcare industry, ensuring that sustained and lucrative growth remain at the forefront of the company’s business strategy.
Throughout Rigby’s 19 years with WebTPA, she has touched all aspects of the company, from Operations to Medical Economics to Account Management, providing her with a well-rounded experience base.
An expert in the nuances of large self-funded health plans, Rigby has worked closely with some of the country’s leading health systems and employer groups, helping them realize their strategic goals and stay ahead of the curve in the rapidly changing world of managed healthcare.
Texas-based independent insurance firm, Higginbotham, hired Peter Clarke, as senior loss control consultant in its Corpus Christi office.
The Corpus Christi loss control department serves customers throughout the state. The department helps businesses identify their property and liability exposures and develop strategies to improve safety, avoid claims, minimize financial loss and maintain regulatory compliance.
Clarke has broad experience evaluating property, products liability, auto fleet, workers’ compensation and general liability exposures and developing controls that help businesses in diverse industries prevent accidents, reduce insurance costs and strengthen regulatory compliance.
For the past 10 years, Clarke has been a contracted risk control consultant based in Bishop, Texas, for YORK/FARA Risk Control Services, U.S. Reports and Secure Risk Control Services.
Clarke started his 27-year career in Houston’s private sector as a safety director for several steel products companies. He is a Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS), Field Safety Representative (FSR) and Continuing Education Claims Manager (CECM).
Joseph Miller joined Centauri Insurance as a regional sales manager in Texas.
Miller brings more than 17 years of insurance industry experience to Centauri and is charged with helping to expand the company’s residential property programs.
As regional sales manager for the southern region of Texas, Miller’s responsibilities will include management of existing independent agency relationships and strategic growth. Miller will be based in the Houston area, while the northern region of Texas will continue to be led by Joe McCormick.
Prior to joining Centauri, Miller spent more than 10 years at Universal North America working as sales director throughout Texas.
The Texas Surplus Lines Association selected Keith Strama of the law firm of Beatty, Bangle & Strama to replace longtime TSLA attorney Greg Hooser, who has retired.
Strama has significant experience representing various groups before the Texas Legislature and once served as a legislative aide to former state Rep. Craig Eiland.
He has been a shareholder in Beatty, Bangle & Strama since 2006.
Dallas-based B&H Risk Services hired Lorna Greenwood as senior underwriter.
Greenwood will be involved in day-to-day underwriting and broking, new business development, new product and program development, producer relations, market procurement and program creation.
She has more than 25 years of experience in commercial lines insurance and comes to B&H Risk Services from NSM Insurance Group’s Care Providers Insurance Services where she served as a risk analyst, underwriting a wide variety of social services accounts and in marketing.
Prior to NSM, Greenwood served as program manager, underwriter and actuarial liaison at US Risk Underwriters, and as business development manager creating new programs and managing existing programs at Innovative Risk Management.
She began focusing solely on commercial lines in 1998 with Summit Global Partners of Texas, now USI Southwest.
The Cunningham Insurance Group named Kris Wilkerson as partner and lead producer in its newest property/casualty insurance agency, Wilkerson/Cunningham Insurance, in Alexandria, La.
Wilkerson is a 13-year veteran of the insurance industry, will serve as a partner and lead producer for the Alexandria office.
The Alexandria office joins with offices in Natchitoches and Mansfield, La., to give the group a regional presence in central- and northwest Louisiana.
The agency will focus on small- to mid-size commercial lines prospects and personal lines packages in the Louisiana and East Texas area.
Joe Cunningham Jr., president of Cunningham Insurance Group, said the company plans more growth and is actively looking for additional acquisitions in Central and North Louisiana, as well as in East Texas.

CNA named Peter McCarron as senior vice president, Commercial Claim.
McCarron joins CNA from Zurich North America, where he most recently served as senior vice president, Global Workers’ Compensation and Accident & Health. Prior to that role, he served for 14 years in several positions at OneBeacon Insurance Group.
He will report to Andrew Pinkes, executive vice president, Worldwide P&C Claim.
Insureon, an online agency for small business insurance, expanded its leadership team to include Brandon Hickey as president of Insureon Brokerage and Mark Thompson as senior vice president, Product Excellence.
A 30-year veteran of the insurance industry, Hickey’s past roles include tenures as regional vice president for The Hartford Insurance Group. He has 20 years of experience in small commercial insurance.
Thompson joins Insureon from a managing director role in PwC’s insurance advisory practice, where he worked with data and analytics. Prior to that, he held executive roles at Allstate, including a position as vice president for Product Operations at Allstate subsidiary Encompass Insurance.
Joseph Davide has joined QBE North America as senior vice president, Risk Management.
Davide will drive underwriting and business strategies for large property, primary casualty, and excess casualty risks, as well as national and regional distribution engagement strategies.
Davide’s entire career has been spent at American International Group (AIG), beginning 21 years ago as an underwriting assistant. Most recently, he served as senior vice president, Excess Casualty, Corporate Accounts at AIG.
