Jamie Van Riet has been promoted to the role of Director of Operations at Middleton, Wis.-based Compass Specialty Risk LLC.
Van Riet previously worked as an account manager for Compass Specialty Risk, overseeing compliance.
She will now manage the company’s accounting, surplus lines, tax compliance, as well as training and development of the organization’s account managers. Van Riet will also be responsible for oversight of the company’s retail agency management and distribution strategy.
Prior to joining Compass Specialty Risk, Van Riet held positions with Stassen Insurance, as well as Socius Insurance Services.
Compass Specialty is privately held and was established in April 2015. Managing Director Michael Morman said the firm expects to triple in size in 2016.
Heffernan Insurance Brokers promoted Tiffany Maggard to vice president. She is based in St. Louis, Mo.
Maggard first joined Heffernan’s St. Louis team in 2008 as a sales associate. She perfected her knowledge of coverages like auto, property, professional liability, workers’ compensation, and claims management before becoming involved in more specialized coverages including cyber and executive liability.
She has become a leader in Heffernan’s CareProviders practice, providing proactive services and specialized programs for clients within the industry. Maggard has also developed many new programs for her clients across various industries based on coverage needs she identified.

Cleveland, Ohio-based insurance brokerage Britton Gallagher added Howard Danziger in its Global Property and Casualty division.
Danziger has over 28 years of experience in the insurance industry as both a risk manager and insurance broker specializing in complex risk solutions.
In his role as a client consultant at Britton Gallagher, Danziger will utilize his diverse background to support complex risk management accounts.
He will focus on implementing programs for new clients, which proactively reduce exposures and minimize costs.
Founded in 1942, Britton Gallagher provides liability and risk management products and services for a diverse scope of industries.
Peoria, Ill.-based specialty insurer, RLI Corp., promoted Jill Johnson to vice president, Branch Operations. She will continue to maintain oversight responsibility for RLI’s branch operations and product support for RLI’s transactional business.
Johnson joined RLI in 1993 as underwriter, Specialty Markets, and held various roles within the underwriting department before transitioning to an operations role in 2004. She was promoted to assistant vice president, Branch Operations, in 2004.
Johnson has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry and extensive underwriting and insurance operations expertise. Prior to joining RLI, she served in underwriting and marketing roles at CIGNA, Pearl & Associates and Pekin Insurance Co.
Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) open a Crisis Management division for North America and named Marcos Garcia Norris as group leader. He is based in Chicago.
Garcia Norris joins AGCS from London, where he held the position of class underwriter for crisis management for several years at Lloyd’s Syndicate 2007 (Novae).
Prior to this, he held crisis management positions at Starr Underwriting Agents Ltd. (London), AIG Europe (Madrid and Paris) and AIG UK (London).
This new North American offering within AGCS’ global liability line of business provides insurance products and services pertaining to product recall and contamination, hostile environments, as well as terrorism and political violence

JLT Specialty USA, a U.S. subsidiary of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group plc. (JLT), appointed Matt Reese as senior vice president. He is based in Chicago.
Reese comes to JLT Specialty USA having led the Chicago operations for Hays Companies.
Prior to Hays Companies, Reese was a practice leader for USI in Chicago, where he was responsible for leading, managing and growing the commercial insurance operations.
Amerisure Mutual Insurance Co., based in Farmington Hills, Mich., announced that Justin Roebuck joined the company as director of Business Analysis & Quality Assurance.
Roebuck joins Amerisure with more than 17 years of experience in leading and delivering all phases of diverse technology projects.
Most recently, Roebuck was vice president – Business Analysis at Comerica Bank where he was responsible for the management and delivery of business analysis.
Roebuck has gained certifications within Business Analysis (CBAP), Project Management (PMP) and Agile (CSM) disciplines during his tenure within the information technology sector.
The Norman-Spencer Agency Inc., a national insurance provider and program administrator based in Dayton, Ohio, added Jodie Organisciak as concrete senior underwriter and promoted Jason Norman to recreational marine senior underwriter.
Organisciak has more than 10 years in the insurance industry with experience at Markel as a claims representative, Scottsdale Insurance as a compliance analyst, and Diamond State Group and Berkley Mid-Atlantic Group as an underwriter.
Norman started his insurance career with Ohio Casualty, entering the Underwriter Training program in 2008 out of Pittsburgh, Pa. He joined Norman-Spencer’s concrete team as an underwriter in 2010 before moving into his current role with the recreational marine team.
He has spent several years developing relationships with both key production sources and Norman-Spencer program carrier partners.
Founders Professional promoted Jaimee Williams to professional liability broker in Chicago.
Williams will be responsible for the continued expansion of Founders’ footprint in the small law firm space.
Williams joined Founders Professional in 2012, and most recently held the position of associate broker. She focuses on lawyers professional liability insurance and other miscellaneous professional lines.
Williams has earned a certificate in Professional Liability from PLUS University.

CNA named Peter McCarron as senior vice president, Commercial Claim.
McCarron joins CNA from Zurich North America, where he most recently served as senior vice president, Global Workers’ Compensation and Accident & Health. Prior to that role, he served for 14 years in several positions at OneBeacon Insurance Group.
