Willis North America, a unit of Willis Group Holdings plc, has made a series of senior appointments to its business.
Hiram Marrero has been appointed national partner of Willis’s South Region. He will be responsible for the firm’s operations in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and the Carolinas, which includes 500 Associates across 15 offices.
Based in Miami, Marrero joined Willis in 2004 and has held a variety of sales and leadership roles. Since 2012 he has served as regional partner for Willis’s Florida operations. Marrero assumes the role previously held by Eric Hein, who is returning to his previous role managing Willis’s North Carolina and South Carolina operations.
Rob Allen has been appointed managing partner, Willis Insurance Services of Georgia, Inc. Allen has experience in the risk and insurance industry.
He joined Willis in 1994 and has served in a variety of leadership roles. Since 2009 he has served as regional partner of Willis’s Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama operations. In his new role, Allen will be responsible for Willis’s Georgia business, which serves local and national clients from its offices in Atlanta as supported by 185 risk and insurance professionals. He is based in Atlanta.
Insight Risk Management‘s Nashville branch, WC Dillon Co./Insight, has hired three new staff members –Raleigh Harwell, Kaitlyn Russell and Vickie Owens – increasing its local staff to 10. The company said the move is part of its strategy to take advantage of the rapidly growing Nashville economy and expand its market presence.
Harwell has joined Insight as an account executive. He brings with him 15 years of banking and finance industry experience. His focus will be commercial property and casualty client development and sales.
Russell is a recent graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in finance and insurance. She’ll be taking on the role of a commercial client customer service representative.
Owens comes to WC Dillon Co. with 20-plus years of personal insurance experience. She has accepted the Personal Insurance manager position and will be focused on client management and sales.
Insight Risk Management is a property and casualty insurance agency headquartered in Memphis, Tenn., with roughly 100 employees. The organization was born from the merger of “Menard, Gates & Mathis” and “McDonnell Insurance Agency,” two long standing Memphis agencies. Insight Risk Management’s WC Dillon Co./Insight is the company’s Nashville branch, which opened in 2011.
Andy N. Siegel, president of Siegel Insurance, Inc., a Trusted Choice insurance agency in Atlanta, was installed as president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia, Inc. (IIAG) on June 13, during the association’s 118th Annual Meeting and Convention in Amelia Island, Fla.
Siegel was first elected to IIAG’s Executive Committee in 2012 and will continue to serve through June 2017 as immediate past president.
Prior to election on the Executive Committee, Siegel held a 15-year term as IIAG technology committee chairman while also serving a 19 year term on the personal lines committee.
Siegel has held many leadership positions within the association, including president of the Atlanta Association of Independent Agents (AAIIA), senior director of AAIIA, and member of the AAIIA Board of Directors for 7 years.
A 1985 graduate of The College of Insurance in New York City and a 1984 graduate of the University of Georgia in Athens, Siegel has earned a MBA in Insurance and a BBA in Risk Management & Insurance.
He holds professional accreditations of Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (1987), Accredited Advisor in Insurance (1989) and Certified Insurance Counselor (1990).
The Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia (IIAG) is a professional trade association of Trusted Choice insurance agencies, representing 620 businesses across the state since 1897.
JLT Specialty Insurance Services Inc., a U.S. subsidiary of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group plc., has appointed Joe Addison as executive vice president and member of the U.S. Executive Committee.
Addison will be based in Atlanta where he will oversee the U.S. Entertainment and Hospitality practice and will also be responsible for leading the development and growth of JLT Specialty USA in the southern United States.
Addison comes to JLT Specialty USA from Aon, where he served as CEO of the Entertainment Practice, a global business serving many entertainment, sports, media and hospitality companies.
He became CEO of the practice in 2007 after overseeing the merger between Aon/Albert G. Ruben’s Sports and Recreation Specialty practice–a division that Addison started–and the Entertainment Group.
Addison brings to JLT 25 years of experience and holds a B.B.A. degree from the University of South Carolina.
