Carrollton, Texas-based Hotchkiss Insurance Agency (HIA) announced a new leadership team. Mike Hotchkiss is now the CEO, Ken Hotchkiss is the chief operating officer and Greg Hotchkiss is the chief financial officer.
HIA Founder Doug Hotchkiss has transitioned to his new role as founder and strategic advisor.
The Hotchkiss senior management is supported by its executive leadership team, which includes Vice Presidents Anne Sheahen, Wes Weatherred and Farrah Carlton.
HIA, which opened in 1975, is celebrating its 40th year in business. HIA has branch offices throughout Texas with main offices located in Carrollton, Houston and San Antonio.
Networked Insurance Agents has hired Henry Villegas as sales vice president in Texas.
A native Texan, Villegas has more than 20 years of insurance industry experience. Previously, he worked for Travelers in sales, operations and marketing assisting principals with their agency development plans.
An insurance agency aggregator, Networked has 1,000 affiliate members in 10 western states.
Norma Carabajal Essary has been appointed as executive director of the Surplus Lines Stamping Office of Texas (SLSOT), effective March 1, 2015. She succeeds Philip R. Ballinger, who retired Jan. 2, 2015.
For the past 12 years, Essary has worked in risk management at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). She most recently served as vice president of risk management where she was responsible for two separate and distinct groups managing the airport’s overall enterprise risk and construction-specific risk, property/casualty, and occupational health and safety.
Prior to joining DFW, Essary was the director of risk management for the City of Albuquerque.
Essary holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designations.
Specialty insurance brokerage firm, Alliant Insurance Services, has added two veteran producers to its energy and marine group in Houston, Texas.
Executive Vice President Cran Fraser and Vice President Ted Dimitry will be responsible for business development and the delivery of insurance solutions to Alliant Energy and Marine’s growing list of clients.
Fraser has extensive experience in the marketing, placement, and servicing of all lines of energy and marine insurance, including exploration, production, construction, shipping, and transportation. He also brings a global insurance perspective to Alliant, having handled placements in more than 30 countries throughout North America, Africa, Asia, The Middle East, The Caribbean, South America, and Europe.
Prior to joining Alliant, he was head of the Houston office and manager of the energy and marine group for a global insurance brokerage.
Fraser is a member of the Mariners Club (Ports of Houston and Louisiana), LAWS, and the Independent Petroleum Association of America.
Dimitry has expertise in the marketing, placement, and servicing of E&P companies, drilling contractors, and various other energy and marine-related companies. His client experience ranges from local small and midsized companies to large global corporations.
Prior to joining Alliant, he served as vice president with a Houston-based global insurance brokerage. In this role, he built an extensive book of energy and marine clients within the Houston insurance market.
Dimitry serves as chairman of the Houston Marine Insurance Seminar.

The South Central region of wholesale insurance broker All Risks Ltd. has tapped David Tuley, to open its Houston operation.
In addition, Katie Coffey joined All Risks’ Austin, Texas, office as a brokerage underwriter, handling MGA contracts and small business clients.
Previously with Burke-Daniels and CRC/Crump, Tuley provides his expertise in the energy, construction and manufacturing sector.
In the industry for almost a decade, Coffey previously worked at Admiral Insurance.
Wholesale broker CGSC North America has made three senior appointments in its business development, partnerships and marketing operations.
William K. (Wim) Ludington joins as executive vice president for carrier management and alternative markets. He joins from Canaccord Genuity Inc.
Mason Power joins as chief marketing officer (CMO), Power was previously CMO at Agencyport.
Mark Smith joins as senior advisor to both Tom Ruggieri, CGSC North America’s CEO, and the company’s executive management committee. Prior to joining CGSC North America, Smith was managing director and a member of the executive committee for RT Specialty.
