Nebraska Gov.-Elect Pete Ricketts announced he will retain Bruce Ramge as director of the Nebraska Department of Insurance.

Ramge joined the Nebraska Department of Insurance Market Conduct Division in September 1984. He was named deputy director of the department in 2008, and was appointed to his current position by Gov. Dave Heineman in 2010.

As director of the insurance department, he oversees 100 department employees.

Cameron Mutual Insurance Co. in Cameron, Mo., appointed Peter A. Lindquist as chief financial officer/treasurer.

Lindquist, a CPA who holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, comes to Cameron Mutual from Monitor Liability Managers LLC, in Rolling Meadows, Ill., where he served as vice president and chief financial officer for the past 14 years.

His prior work experience includes four years as vice-president and chief financial officer for Dental Network of America in Oakbrook Terrace, Ill., and 13 years as chief administrative officer and treasurer for American Mutual Reinsurance Co. in Chicago. Earlier in his career, he also worked as a senior auditor with the firm now known as Deloitte & Touche in Chicago.

Cameron Insurance Co. is a multi-line property casualty insurance group operating in Arkansas, Iowa and Missouri through over 320 independent, professional agencies.

Chicago-based CNA Financial Corp. has appointed Amy Adams to senior vice president, investments and treasury.

In this role, Adams will be responsible for both the operational and strategic management of investment finance, accounting, operations and treasury teams.

Adams joined CNA in January 2004 as vice president for financial accounting and reporting. In October 2013, she was promoted to senior vice president and assistant controller

She has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, including over 12 years of public accounting experience with KPMG LLP.

Insurance broker, Lockton, based in Kansas City, Mo., hired Karen Amato as director of Health Risk Solutions for the firm’s Washington, D.C., employee benefits operation.

Amato is a registered nurse with expertise in population health and integrated disability management. She has more than 25 years of experience in hospitals and corporate settings.

As part of the Health Risk Solutions team, she will help employers identify trends in chronic disease and high-cost claims, and develop customized programs.

Chicago-based Alper Services LLC has added five new employees in its commercial lines, financial services and claims management services departments.

With nearly 10 years of insurance agency experience, Abby Ahern joins Alper Services as an account manager in the commercial lines division, where she will develop high-quality risk management programs for clients.

Michael Caruso III joins Alper’s business development team from a large national financial services firm. He will grow Alper’s current life and financial services client base, offering strategic planning solutions, issue resolution and unmatched service overall.

Peggy Ford joins Alper Services as its nurse case manager advocate. In this role, she will oversee its clients’ workers’ compensation claims to ensure rapid and cost-effective claim closure. Ford has more than 28 years of experience as a certified vocational and nurse case manager in workers’ comp.

As the second account manager to join Alper’s commercial lines division in recent months, Adam Miholic will service clients’ marketing needs. He brings several years of commercial insurance experience to the position, having managed an extensive book of large commercial business accounts in the past.

John Zitko assumes the role of director of claims management services. With more than a decade of experience in the insurance industry, most recently at an international property/casualty third-party administrator, Zitko will oversee all claims activities, including the early intervention program.

Amerisure Mutual Insurance Co. promoted Jeffrey Trees to vice president of Infrastructure. Trees will continue to be based in Farmington Hills, Mich. and report to Shawn O’Rourke, chief technology officer with Amerisure.

In Trees’ new role, he is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a 24/7 environment which includes: data center, data center operations, production control, servers, networks, storage, end user devices, database administration, telephony and service desk.

Trees joined Amerisure in 2012 as assistant vice president of Information Technology. Prior to that, he directed Visteon Corp.’s global infrastructure and operations architecture and asset management programs.
