Dwight Zivo has been named vice president of marketing for Chicago-based Parr Insurance Brokerage. Zivo will be responsible for developing and executing the marketing and brand strategy for the company, which serves high-net-worth individuals and families nationwide with customized insurance coverage.
A 28-year veteran of the insurance industry, Zivo has a proven track record of building and managing successful insurance agencies. Most recently, Zivo was the owner and founder of Chicago-based NB Independent Brokerage, which was licensed in property/casualty, life/health and merchant processing services. Zivo, a CPA, also owned Dwight D. Zivo Insurance Agency Inc.
St. Charles, Ill.-based Insurance Program Managers Group (IPMG) promoted Nathan Kaprinay to practice leader of IPMG’s brokerage division for workers’ compensation. Kaprinay will coordinate marketing and production activities for workers’ compensation in all IPMG offices.
He joined IPMG in 2007, and has successfully led the St. Charles workers’ compensation team since 2012.
Amelia, Ohio-based American Modern Insurance Group promoted two team members to senior positions. Elvia Alaniz was named vice president of sales – West Region and Sheri Wilson was appointed national account manager.
Alaniz has more than 18 years of insurance experience in marketing, underwriting and sales. She previously served as director of marketing for American Modern and assistant vice president of underwriting at ICW Group/Explorer Insurance.
Wilson previously served as territory sales manager for Arizona and New Mexico, where she earned corporate sales awards as the MVP of the West Region in 2007, 2008 and 2009. Prior to joining American Modern, she worked in various insurance sales and marketing roles for 15 years.Wilson has earned her CPCU and CIC designations.
Illinois-based global insurance broker Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. appointed Vishal Jain, chief service officer. In this new role, Jain will lead Gallagher’s customer service efforts while improving operational efficiency and quality across divisions. Jain also has been appointed a corporate vice president.
Since 2004, Jain has been instrumental in the management of the Gallagher Service Center, which provides data management, document processing and quality control support to the company’s operating divisions. Prior to joining Gallagher, Jain served as a management consultant with Bridge Strategy Group, Renaissance Solutions and McKinsey & Co.
The Motorists Insurance Group in Columbus, Ohio, promoted Anne King and John Kessler to senior vice president positions.
King has been promoted to senior vice president, chief human resources officer and assistant corporate secretary. She will continue to oversee all human resources functions for The Motorists Insurance Group, including community impact. She will also oversee document management services and corporate services.
Kessler has been promoted to senior vice president and chief information officer. Kessler will continue to manage all information technology initiatives for the group.
King and Kessler both previously served as vice presidents of human resources and information technology, respectively.
IFG Cos. added Andrew M. Shrout as managing director for its bind insurance business.
Shrout will be based in Chicago and Atlanta, and will be a member of the bind leadership team that establishes and implements the new strategy of IFG’s contract bind insurance business.
Shrout joins IFG from Tower Group International, where he was managing vice president of marketing strategy and analytics. Previously, he was vice president for strategy and finance in the home appliance division at Sears Holdings Corp. He also has held operational roles at Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co., and has worked at The Hartford Financial Services Group and at Reagan Consulting Inc.
Shrout has earned the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter designation.
The Ohio Insurance Institute (OII) hired Jeff Anthony to direct its legislative and regulatory initiatives.
Anthony most recently worked at the Ohio Department of Aging as a legislative liaison and previously worked in the Ohio House as a legislative aide.
As director of government relations, Anthony will collaborate with OII members on public policy initiatives, administrative rules and community outreach, and will represent the organization before the legislative and executive branches of Ohio government.
OII is a trade and information association and its members include domestic, regional and national property/ casualty insurance companies, trade groups and related organizations.
