Louisiana Workers’ Compensation Corp. (LWCC) hired Jeffrey H. Skaggs as senior vice president of policyholder services and agency relations.

Skaggs has more than 27 years of experience in commercial insurance underwriting, marketing and management.

Most recently, Skaggs served as vice president of regional operations for Texas Mutual Insurance Co. in Austin. He has worked in underwriting, management and executive positions with CNA Insurance, Reliance Insurance Co., Zurich-American Insurance and Travelers Insurance Co.

LevelFirst, a wholesale broker and managing general agency based in Dallas, Texas, announced Kevin Revett joined the firm as a senior broker.

Revett brings 13 years of wholesale production experience to the company. His focus will center on casualty business including general liability, excess/umbrella, workers’ compensation and non-subscriber business.

LevelFirst serves and supports retail agents in the Southwest and around the country.

In addition to Dallas, LevelFirst has offices in Austin and Houston.

Aon Risk Solutions, the global risk management business of Aonplc, added Lori Robinett to its Dallas office as senior vice president and brokerage practice leader for the construction services group.

Robinett will concentrate on serving clients undertaking major construction project initiatives, including corporate capital expenditure and public private partnership developments (P3s). In addition, Robinett will have operational responsibility for Aon’s construction broking teams in the Southwest and Southeast regions.

Prior to joining Aon, she served as senior vice president with Willis’ construction group.

Robinett holds the Certified Insurance Counselor designation.

Willis North America appointed Kenneth White as national managed care practice leader for its Willis national healthcare practice.

The practice targets group health insurers, pharmaceutical benefit managers, local government sponsored plans, independent provider associations (IPAs) and accountable care organizations (ACOs) of all sizes.

White will be responsible for business development and helping managed care organizations navigate the system health care delivery in the wake of healthcare reform.

White previously served as an attorney at Sedgwick LLP, with a focus on health care litigation.

He will report to Frank Castro, Willis’ national healthcare practice leader.

Former Willis executive Christopher Keegan is joining insurance broker Beecher Carlson to head the firm’s cyber liability practice.

As part of the executive liability practice, Keegan will be expanding the capabilities of Beecher Carlson in cyber liability and technology risk products.

Keegan comes to Beecher Carlson with a background in cyber liability products, having worked on their development in the reinsurance sector at Zurich Re and in the insurance brokerage industry with Willis where he was for the last eight years, most recently as a senior vice president for E&O and e- risk, Willis FINEX in North America.

Keegan said he sees the post as an opportunity to “add distribution channels and further establish the company as a leading cyber risk advisor.”

Keegan’s appointment is one of a series of steps Beecher Carlson has said it will be taking to grow its business. Beecher Carlson, which was acquired by Brown & Brown in July 2013, said it will also be investing resources in a merger and acquisition team out of New York; a property resource in Bermuda; the property, energy and executive liability areas in the Northeast and on the West Coast; management of international placements and its proprietary claims and loss production process named ZOOM.

Chaucer, a specialist Lloyd’s insurance group, tapped Uwe Fischer to lead a new office in the United States that will focus on Latin American business for Chaucer Syndicate 1084.

Fischer, region development director for Latin America, will relocate from Chaucer’s office in Buenos Aires to Miami, Fla., to lead the new office, which is expected to open during the fourth quarter of 2014. He will be joined by Alejandro Ferrin, property facultative underwriter.

Chaucer said it will close its office in Buenos Aires.

Fischer has years of experience as a reinsurance underwriter in Latin America and, together with his team, will build on existing portfolio and client relationships to develop business throughout the region.

The new office extends the reach of Chaucer’s international operations and recognizes the increasing importance of Miami as a “growing hub for Latin American business,” said Andrew Voke, head of production at Chaucer Syndicate 1084.
