Waukesha, Wis.-based R&R Insurance Services Inc. has welcomed Josh Timm as account executive. Timm has more than 10 years of insurance industry experience.

He has held multiple sales, marketing and service positions with various insurance carriers including Wausau, Philadelphia Insurance Companies and Sentry Insurance. Most recently, Timm was with The Hanover Insurance Group as a small commercial sales manager responsible for working closely with Wisconsin agencies to enhance their service offerings and grow their business.

Timm will be concentrating on building a book of business within the technology and manufacturing arenas – specifically in the south and central part of the state of Wisconsin.

Brianna Gatto was awarded a Westfield Agents Association Trustee Scholarship by Esser Hayes Insurance in Naperville, Ill., in partnership with Westfield Insurance.

The Westfield Agents Association Trustee Scholarship program, sponsored by Westfield Insurance, allows each member of the Westfield Agents Association board of trustees to award a scholarship to a qualified student or organization in their community. Trustees choose scholarship recipients in recognition of achievement in academics, leadership and community involvement.

A junior at Illinois State University in Normal, Ill., Gatto is majoring in Finance with a minor in Insurance. Gatto completed a successful internship at Esser Hayes Insurance Group in the summer of 2013.

Marsh has named Robert Bentley as president of its U.S. and Canada division. Bentley will be responsible for the oversight of the division, which comprises Marsh’s U.S. core brokerage, Canada and insurance services businesses.

Bentley rejoined Marsh & McLennan Companies in February following five years at Risk Management Solutions, where he served as chief operating officer and a board member. Prior to that, he spent 17 years at Guy Carpenter, where he held several executive positions, including global COO and head of Global Analytics. He most recently served as president and CEO of Marsh’s Insurance Services Businesses unit.

HM Risk, a St. Louis, Mo.-based property/casualty insurance and employee benefits agency, appointed Melinda Young as senior account executive.

Young has more than 20 years of industry experience. As the leader of HM’s construction services team she will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and developing construction risk management accounts.

ACE USA, the U.S.-based retail insurance operations of ACE Group, has appointed Kimberly Springer as branch manager of its Kansas City branch office.

Springer will work closely with insurance brokers and clients in the states of Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska to cultivate relationships and expand ACE USA’s presence in these markets. She will also manage distribution, product sales and marketing, producer relationships and general operations in the region.

With more than 15 years of insurance industry experience, Springer joins ACE from a global carrier, where she served in a variety of positions, most recently as business development leader.

Trinity Risk LLC, a program manager and wholesale broker specializing in owner-operator lines of insurance, opened a new office in Kansas City, Mo., and hired Amy Milburn as account executive.

An experienced trucking insurance executive, Milburn specializes in new business development, account management and risk assessment. In addition, she holds a property/casualty insurance license. Prior to joining Trinity Risk, Milburn was a new business account executive with NAIT/TransGuard. During her 12 years with the company, she had diverse duties including generating new business, broker/agent communications and account retention.

Trinity Risk is headquartered in Middlefield, Conn.

The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) presented Fred Heese, director of the Missouri Division of Insurance Company Regulation and chief financial examiner at the Missouri Department of Insurance, with the Robert Dineen Award.

Heese is the first Missouri insurance regulator to win the award.

Heese, who is one of the longest-serving team members with 29 years at the department, has been the chief financial examiner and division director since 2007. His level of experience has been essential to the enhancement of solvency regulation. He also has provided critical insight into the state’s work on modernization of insurance solvency regulation. Additionally, Heese helped develop and implement ORSA requirements and holding company model law revisions.

The award was established in 1989 and is named in honor of NAIC’s Support and Services Office founder Robert Dineen.
