The National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) named John G. Lee of Fredericksburg, Va., as its president for a term that began on Oct. 1, and runs through Sept. 30, 2014.

Richard A. Clements of Chalmette, La., is president-elect; Robert W. Hansen Jr. of Omaha, Neb., is vice president/treasurer; Gary W. Blackwell Jr. of Corinth, Maine, is secretary/assistant treasurer; and Andrew C. Harris of Colts Neck, N.J., is immediate past president.

Lee is a principal of Lee-Curtis Insurance Service Inc. in Fredericksburg. He served as president of PIA of Virginia and D.C. in 1997-1998 and was a member of that group’s board of directors from 1995-1999.

Imperial Management Corp. announced promotions in the company’s Dallas office.

Carrie Wilson has been named vice president of product management for Imperial Fire & Casualty Co. She joined Imperial Fire & Casualty in 2008 as director of product management.

David Rowe will serve as vice president, property insurance at Imperial Fire & Casualty. Rowe has 30 years of experience in the insurance industry and joined Imperial Fire & Casualty in 2010.

Nick Bogdan is the new vice president of claims for Imperial Fire & Casualty. Bogdan has worked in the insurance industry for 18 years. In 2003, he won the IASIU Investigator of the Year Award for exposing a prolific international staged accident money laundering ring.

Michael Wodek has been named director of infrastructure and network management for Imperial Management Corp. and subsidiaries Imperial Fire & Casualty, RAC Insurance Partners and ABC Insurance Agencies. Wodek has extensive corporate experience in technical managerial and operations positions.

Bob Krulish has been promoted to technical director of claims after two years as senior auto product manager.

Melissa Dupre was named director of automobile underwriting. She has been with Imperial since 1990.

Lisa Hanson has been promoted to director of property programs and reinsurance. She joined Imperial in 2009.

MarketScout, headquartered in Dallas, announced staff promotions related to the expansion of its workers’ compensation specialty division.

Brian Barrilleaux, senior vice president, has been appointed to lead growth across all platforms and strengthen the company’s common space brokerage specialty.

Chris Kerr has been appointed vice president of the division where he will assist Barrilleaux.

Dan Fouts has joined the Dallas workers’ comp brokers’ team from Arkansas to further develop and strengthen MarketScout’s national workers’ comp platform.

Austin, Texas-based Capson Physicians Insurance Co., a national medical malpractice insurer, announced that Frank Coppersmith has joined the company as senior vice president responsible for technology and strategic partnerships. Coppersmith has more than 22 years of experience in the technology industry.

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty expanded its offshore energy risk consulting team, appointing Dawayne Tipton as energy risk engineer.

Based in Houston, Tipton brings more than 12 years of engineering experience in offshore drilling, including work on platforms, drill ships and in deep water.

Most recently, he served as interface engineer at KCA Deutag and was previously an offshore driller with Desoto Drilling, Transocean and Frontier Drilling. He has worked on drilling operations all over the globe, including the Gulf of Mexico, Canada, Mozambique, Equatorial Guinea and the Arctic Ocean.
