Wells Fargo Insurance has promoted Anne Doss to the head of its personal and small business insurance division. Based in Charlotte, N.C., she will continue to report to Laura Schupbach, head of Wells Fargo Insurance.

In her role, Doss will focus on small business and consumer insurance including auto, home, renters, life and umbrella. She will also continue to lead Wells Fargo’s life insurance and disability management business.

Doss succeeds Neal Aton, who will continue to lead several initiatives through 2013.

Most recently, Doss led the insurance national practices and special risk group, which provides resources for Wells Fargo’s property/casualty and employee benefit units, as well as life insurance, international broker network and third party administrator retail operations. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Doss was president of Wachovia Insurance Services where she managed the commercial property/casualty insurance, personal lines, employee benefits, and life insurance operations.

Greensboro, N.C.-based Senn Dunn Insurance appointed Jackie Ireland as director of health and wellness for its employee benefits division. Ireland will spearhead the design and implementation of wellness strategies for clients. Senn Dunn Insurance has offices in Greensboro, High Point, Raleigh and Wilmington.

Brightway Insurance named Talman Howard as the company’s new chief marketing officer. Howard will be responsible for Brightway’s national distribution, carrier relationships and marketing. Prior to accepting the position at Brightway, Howard had a roles at Progressive and Kemper.

Michael Miller, who previously served as the company’s chief marketing officer, will become Brightway’s vice chairman.

Insurance broker Marsh has named Eugene “Tripp” Sheehan, a 19-year veteran of the firm, as U.S. Financial Institutions practice leader. Most recently, he served as Marsh’s U.S. Directors and Officers Liability practice leader. He began his career in 1986 as a D&O underwriter for Chubb.
