USG Insurance Services Inc. has added Drake Burger and Steve Page as producers in its Tampa, Florida office.

Burger most recently held the position of underwriter with Westrope Insurance Managers of Florida. Burger has also worked as an assistant underwriter at Westrope as well as a loan officer at Greater United Home Funding.

Before being hired by USG, Page was a broker with Agency Marketing Services and, prior to that, as an underwriter at M.J. Kelly Co.

Tampa-based USG writes hard-to-place commercial lines in all states. It has 14 offices nationwide.

Iroquois of Tennessee has named Greg Henson as a new regional manager. Henson previously worked as an inside sales manager for BOC Gases, and a territory manager for Ecolab. He has also been an agent at two insurance agencies. The Dickson, Tennessee-based Iroquois of Tennessee is a subsidiary of The Iroquois Group, which has 1,800 members in 37 states.

Wells Publishing Inc. has named Young Ha as its new East editor for its flagship Insurance Journal online and print property/casualty insurance publications. Ha, based in New York, will cover the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region for Insurance Journal magazine and for the web site, InsuranceJournal.com, and its Daily Headlines e-mail newsletter.

Ha comes to Insurance Journal with a business journalism background, including working as an assistant editor and reporter for the National Underwriter. His resume also includes working at Bloomberg TV in New York as a news writer; editing business news for Thomson Financial print and online outlets; freelancing for Crain’s New York Business and writing TV news for the CNN financial network. Ha holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree, both from Brown University.

The states in Insurance Journal‘s East his region include New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maryland, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Delaware and the District of Columbia.

Wells Publishing has also named a new West editor, Don Jergler, based in California, and a new advertising sales representative, Mindy Trammel, for its South Central/Texas territory.

Insurance broker Marsh has appointed Liz Flynn to the role of president and CEO of its U.S. consumer business. Flynn will oversee all Marsh U.S. consumer operations consisting of four main business groups: association, employer benefits, sponsored program and franchise and private client services. Each group sells and administers customized insurance programs to their respective employer and affinity groups, membership organizations, and high net-worth individuals. She will be based in New York.

Flynn comes to Marsh from Guy Carpenter where she has been serving as global chief operating officer responsible for strategy, marketing, transformational programs, client support services, technology, and risk and compliance. She spent most of her career at JPMorgan Chase serving in multiple leadership roles, including executive vice president.

Terry Bernier, who has served as interim president and CEO of Marsh U.S. consumer since Nov. 2010, will assume the role of chairman of the business unit.

Accident Insurance Co. has added two business development representatives to cover the insurer’s Southeastern states.

Lauren Allen has joined the insurer’s marketing team in South Carolina and Virginia. Previously, she spent two years with Appalachian Underwriters Inc.

Jennifer Caldwell has been hired as a business development representative for Alabama and Mississippi. Prior to joining Accident, she worked as a sales manager for Consumer’s Insurance.

The Rock Hill, South Carolina-based Accident is licensed in 18 states where it provides commercial lines coverage to businesses.
