The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of New Hampshire (IIANH) has elected new officers and directors. Westbrook, Connecticut-based insurance broker Gowrie has named Christopher T. Brodeur as vice president in its commercial insurance division. Brodeur will work with business owners and executives throughout Connecticut, New England, New York and New Jersey to customize property and casualty insurance programs to best fit the unique needs of each client. Brodeur has over 20 years of experience in the business insurance industry. He began his career with The Hartford Insurance Co. and embarked on his agency career in 1989 with the Levine Agency of Waterford, which was acquired by the Webster Insurance Agency.

PMA Cos. has named Patricia A. Brookey as assistant vice president for managed care services. Brookey will oversee the managed care vendor management program for the Blue Bell, Pa.-based insurer, which emphasizes managed care as a crucial area of workers’ compensation and an increasing area of client and industry focus. Brookey has 20 years of expertise in managed care services, with particular emphasis on vendor contract negotiation, quality assurance, statistical analysis and compliance. Previously, she was director of case management operations fort the workers’ compensation strategy division of CNA Insurance Co.

Bermuda-based Montpelier Re Holdings Ltd. announced that Anthony Taylor will continue to serve as chairman of the board of directors of the company in a non-executive capacity effective January 1. He joined Montpelier in 2001 at the company’s inception as president, CEO, chief underwriting officer and director.

Troy Markel has been named president of VFIS, a division of Glatfelter Insurance Group based in York Township, Pennsylvania. Markel has almost 20 years of service with VFIS, starting in 1990 as a sales and marketing representative for VFIS Life and Group operations. In 1992, he became a Regional Marketing Representative for VFIS Property & Casualty operations, with responsibilities gradually expanding over the years into his present role of regional vice president/Eastern Region. Since joining VFIS, Markel has been responsible for sales, marketing and distribution management for all VFIS lines of business.

Aon Corp. has named John Bayeux managing director of Aon Risk Services. Bayeux has 22 years of experience as a risk manager and insurance broker in the financial institutions sector. He will work with clients, the financial institutions markets and other financial institutions specialists to design coverages that address the exposures caused by the current financial crisis. Prior to joining Aon, Bayeux served as executive vice president and financial institutions industry leader for Willis, a position he had held since 2004. Previously, Bayeux had spent 14 years at Aon Risk Services and its predecessor companies.

Ironshore Inc. has named Rod Todd as head of its newly established Lloyd’s Property Operation, and promoted Peter Coleman to head of Ironshore’s Bermuda property operations. Todd has extensive experience in the Lloyd’s Property marketplace. Before joining Ironshore Bermuda in 2007 as senior vice president and property underwriter, he worked at Talbot Underwriting Syndicate as a joint team manager and also previously served as managing director and underwriter at Faraday Syndicate, a subsidiary of Gen Re. Coleman will provide strategic direction and oversight in the development of Ironshore’s Bermuda property operation. He joined Ironshore as a senior vice president and property underwriter at Ironshore’s inception in January 2007. He previously served as principal of Integro London, where he was oversaw marketing, design and structure of complex property programs in the London and European markets.

Jimcor Agencies has hired Matthew Gard as brokerage specialist in its Montvale, New Jersey branch office. Gard has more than 15 years of experience in the commercial lines wholesale industry.

Emmanuel Psilakis, a veteran of the healthcare insurance industry with 22 years of experience has joined Boston-based insurance brokerage William Gallagher Associates. Psilakis specializes in the areas of health care professional liability, workers’ compensation, and the implementation of comprehensive directors’ & officer’s liability programs for health care organizations. He joins WGA in connection with its acquisition of RPG Insurance Administrators.
