Kirby Dibb has joined independent insurance brokerage TriSure in Raleigh, N.C., as client services manager for safety and risk management. In her new capacity, Dibb is responsible for the design, training and monitoring of client Web-based tools available through TriSure Online. In addition, Dibb helps clients manage their OSHA reporting and compliance. Prior to joining TriSure, Dibb served as first aid and safety consultant with Cintas.

Wholesaler Colemont Insurance Brokers reports that Kevin Dorse joined the company’s Atlanta office as senior vice president and financial services broker. Dorse specializes in directors and officers liability, employment practices liability, fiduciary, crime, kidnap and ransom, and professional liability coverages. Prior to joining Colemont, he was a senior executive for OakBridge Insurance Services (formerly Carpenter Moore) serving a national agent base.

Curtis R. Chalmers was named assistant vice president-miscellaneous professional liability, for Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Nautilus Insurance Group, comprised of Nautilus Insurance Co. and Great Divide Insurance Co., member companies of W. R. Berkley Corp. Chalmers joins Nautilus from Vela Insurance Services, another W. R. Berkley member company, where he served as senior underwriter-professional liability. Chalmers has more than 18 years of industry experience and holds CIC and RPLU designations.

Virginia-based specialty insurer Markel Corp. appointed Nathan J. Warde as executive underwriting officer. In this role, Warde will oversee Markel’s property lines operations in the U.S. Warde has almost 30 years experience in diverse underwriting and insurance operations and most recently was president for Aspen Insurance U.S. and chief executive officer for Aspen Specialty.

David Daniel was named chairman of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (Big “I”). He will lead the organization as chairman for the 2009-2010 term. Daniel is president of Daniel & Eustis Insurance in Baton Rouge, La. Prior to his election to the executive committee by IIABA’s national board of directors in 2004, Daniel served on the board of the Independ-ent Insurance Agents & Brokers of Louisiana for eight years and became president in 1997.

The Big “I” also installed J. Michael “Mike” Miley of Gibson Insurance Group as chairman-elect. Miley began his insurance career in 1973 and joined Gibson Insurance Group in 1983. He began his involvement with the association at the local and state level, serving as president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Indiana from 1995 to 1996. In 1997 Miley was elected to Big “I” Board of Directors representing Indiana. He has twice been named Indiana Agent of the Year.
