SCHOOL INSURER SAYS BULLY’S PARENTS SHOULD PAY:

The insurance company for Stonington, Conn., has filed a legal complaint claiming that if school officials lose a bullying lawsuit, then parents of the alleged bullies should pay as well. A lawsuit filed by a Pawcatuck Middle School student claims that during a trip to Washington, D.C., in March 2004, the boy was struck and pushed several times by four students while in his hotel room and was sprayed in the face with deodorant. Connecticut Interlocal Risk Management Agency, the town’s insurer, is claiming that the parents of the four boys were responsible for their sons’ alleged actions.
