LA. AGENT ACCUSED:
Louisiana Depart-ment of Insurance Fraud Unit investigators served a Lafayette-area insurance producer (agent) with a cease and desist order and summary suspension of her insurance license, Insurance Commissioner J. Robert Wooley announced. The C&D order alleges that Tonya Broussard Nolan, sole owner and only licensed producer of Nolan Insurance Agency LLC, forged signatures on insurance applications and other documents; failed to remit to insurance companies more than $13,000; and issued bogus vehicle identification cards to unsuspecting customers. Nolan held a property and casualty insurance license from May 1999 until the current suspension. DOI records show her business addresses as: 5611 Cameron St., Scott; P.O. Box 466, Scott; and 3047 Heritage Rd., Rayne.
