FIREFIGHTER GETS INDICTED TWICE:
An Oklahoma Multicounty Grand Jury indictment naming a former Tulsa, Okla. firefighter in a workers’ compensation fraud case was unsealed recently in Rogers County District Court. It showed that William Bradford Adams was indicted April 14 on one felony count of workers’ comp fraud for allegedly misleading his doctor about his injuries in order to claim workers’ comp benefits. Adams allegedly sought benefits for injuries to his neck and right elbow suffered while he was a captain with the Tulsa Fire Department. The indictment claims Adams provided false information to his doctor “with the intent to defraud and deceive.” Adams also faces an additional April 14 indictment in Tulsa County District Court on one felony count of workers’ comp fraud and one felony count of perjury. That indictment was unsealed April 16.
