COVERAGECORP RAISING $

Access CoverageCorp Inc., the Charlotte, N.C. Internet-based business insurance technology and solutions provider, announced it raised $8 million in a second-round financing. The leader in this round was the global alternative asset management firm Capital Z Partners, which was joined by The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., LC39 Ventures and Selective Insurance Company. Exact terms of the transaction were not disclosed. CoverageCorp will apply the capital towards continued system development of the company’s Virtual Insurance Platform (VIP) technology and operational expansion.
