FLOWER MOUND IM-PROVES PPC RATING
Flower Mound, Texas, has improved its public protection classification with the Insurance Services Office from a class 5 to a class 2.
Fire departments in Texas are classified on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the highest, by the ISO. Flower Mound was informally ranked as a Class 5 municipality, prior to a review by the ISO.
Effective June 1, the Class 2 ranking will establish Flower Mound as one of the highest rated municipalities in the state. Flower Mound is currently one of only eight, of approximately 2,400 Texas fire departments, that have earned a class two ranking or better. Flower Mound officials will be sending notification and information to agents’ offices.
