TRANSAMERICA NAMES EXECS
Transamerica Insurance & Investment Group (TIIG) named five insurance industry executives to key positions within the organization. William Tate was elected as senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Transamerica Occidental Life Insurance Co. (TOLIC) and TIIG. Also promoted was Regional Vice President James Bowman to senior vice president and chief agency officer for TOLIC. Jerry Paul, a seasoned Transamerica executive with more than 25 years of company service, was named vice president, Special Markets. He moves to that post after having led the start-up of the company’s Western Regional Marketing Center, which became Transamerica’s top-producing regional office in 1999. Named to replace Paul as western regional vice president, based in Pasadena, Calif., is James “Marty” Flewellen, currently a Transamerica general agent in Las Vegas. Also joining Transamerica is James Duff, III, who has been named eastern regional vice president, based in Charlotte, N.C.
