A NEW RISKY BUSINESS

Marsh & McLennan Companies has created MMC Enterprise Risk, a new operating entity that will help MMC respond on an integrated basis to the various risks faced by corporations. Bob Khanna, formerly of Citigroup, will head the entity. Khanna most recently served as president and chief executive officer of the personal lines division of Travelers Property and Casualty. Business risks have traditionally been divided into broad categoriesÐsuch as hazard, financial, operational and strategic risksÐand managed separately. Enterprise risk management studies the combined effect of risks on client companies.
