Nuts & Bolts: London American Professional Liability LLC, a program administrator and MGA, introduced a new professional liability program for insurance agencies. The program is designed for agencies with gross written premiums between $5 million and $250 million. Coverage is offered on both a primary and excess basis. Eligible agencies include retailers, wholesalers, specialist firms and hard to place firms.
Dollars: $5 million each claim/$5 million annual aggregate limit. Minimum premium $10,000/$5,000 excess.

E&O for New P/C Agents
Nuts & Bolts: Rockwood Programs recently partnered with certain underwriters at Lloyds of London to offer professional liability coverage for property/casualty agents licensed less than three years. Eligibility considerations include years of experience, annual commission revenues, risk location and types of products placed. New policyholders must also agree to access and review the risk management tools available on the company’s Web site. Once an agent has three years of experience, he/she becomes eligible for Rockwood’s standard program.
Dollars: Limits of $1 million/$1 million; $5,000 deductible. Premiums start at $3,100.

Nuts & Bolts: General liability, including contractual liability, personal injury and advertising injury liability for retail cart vendors operating concessions and exhibits is available from K&K Insurance Group Inc. This program is tailored for concessionaires, exhibit-ors and vendors operating at various types of sites, including special events, arts and craft shows, fairs, festivals and trade shows. Premiums vary according to the overall square footage and the number of tables or booths. K&K offers a fee-based program, however commissions are negotiable for books of business. During the policy period there are no limitations on the number of shows the insured may attend. This program is a self-rating/brochure-style product where applicants can submit payment with enrollment form for faster processing.
Dollars: $300,000 damage coverage to premises rented; $5,000 medical payments.

Builders’ Risk
Nuts & Bolts: Praetorian Financial Group entered into a partnership with Britt/Paulk to launch a builders’ risk program. Builder’s risk covers properties while under construction. The program will launch in Florida and the Gulf states and will focus on quality builders and superior construction.
Dollars: Limits up to $30 million.

Coverage is offered on both a primary and excess basis for risks with up to $250 million in revenue. Policy highlights include: primary and excess coverage available; claims made and reported policy; company has right and duty to defend; coverage is extended to employees while acting within the scope of their employment duties; personal injury coverage; prior acts coverage provided for insureds who have carried continuous coverage, predecessor and successor firm coverage; automatic 60-day extended reporting period; and worldwide coverage for suits brought in the U.S.
