Stolen or Seized’

Martha Rosa Olivera of Ceres was arrested on insurance fraud charges after she knowingly filed a fraudulent claim. CDI fraud investigators found that in April of 1997, the 41-year-old woman reported to the Stanislaus County SheriffÕs Department that her vehicle had been stolen. She filed a claim with her insurer, California State Automobile Association, for the alleged theft. As a result of a methamphetamine lab investigation, agents of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) advised Olivera that her vehicle would be seized. Investigators learned from the DEA agents that she had full knowledge of the seizure prior to both reporting the vehicle stolen and filing the fraudulent claim.
