90% of Cars at Central Iowa Auto Shop Destroyed in Flood
A Clive, Iowa, auto repair business reported that 90 percent of the vehicles on its property have been ruined by a flash flood.
Acheson Auto Works, which backs up to Walnut Creek, was flooded early on June 26, destroying about 40 vehicles.
Tim Todd with Acheson Auto Works said he was shocked by how fast the water rose and said that by the time he got a call warning of the flooding, “it was too late.”
Severe weather in late June caused flooding across the Midwest. Tornadoes were spotted in Missouri and high winds caused power outages in several Midwest states.
