New Jersey to Cease Printing Agents’ and Adjusters’ Licenses

Print it yourself. That’s what New Jersey’s insurance regulator is telling insurance agents about their insurance licenses.

The department has issued a new bulletin advising agents and public adjusters in the state that, starting next month, it will no longer print and mail copies of the license.

Instead, producers and adjusters can print licenses, free of charge, via State Based Systems (SBS) Connect, a service of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. The bulletin and directions on how to print licenses are available at the Department of Banking and Insurance Web site, njdobi.org.

The state says the change in the method of license delivery will make issuing the licenses more efficient.
