Delaware’s Denn Seeks New Job
Delaware’s incumbent Insurance Commissioner Matthew Denn, a Democrat who assumed the office in 2005, is running for lieutenant governor.
Sussex County Recorder of Deeds John Brady is officially in the race to succeed Denn as state insurance commissioner. Brady is running as a Republican.
In November 2004, Denn, former legal counsel to Gov. Ruth Ann Minner, caught 53 percent of the vote to win over Rep. David Ennis, (R-Wilmington), who garnered 47 percent. Denn replaced Republican Donna Lee Williams, who did not seek re-election.
