Young Agents Wired via IIAT’s Weblog

May 23, 2005

Young agents have their own Web Portal on IIAT’s site with additional new features and capabilities. The most important feature is a Weblog or blog geared to meet the needs of young agents. The blog provides a tool whereby participants can offer their thoughts, ideas and opinions on practically any topic. While blogs on the Web site have already been set up for topics such as sales, professional development, events and activities, and technical issues, any additional blogs can be added.

“I want to encourage young agents to explore and use this new feature, which I and the Young Agents Committee believe can become one of the most powerful communication tools available to agents,” said Paul Martin, IIAT education director.

The blogs work like this: Members registered for the Young Agents Web Portal can post an original comment in any blog category, or post feedback to blog comments posted by another. Either way, users should feel free to join in. If a local is having an event, if there is a technical issue others can help with or if an opinion is called for, give the blog a try.

The blog is available only on the Young Agents Web Portal, access to which requires registration. During the process of setting up “MyIIAT,” each individual member can choose to use the Web site through the Young Agents Web Portal.
