IIAT Unveils Expanded, More Powerful Web Site

May 23, 2005

The Independent Insurance Agents of Texas launched an expanded, more powerful and newly renovated Web site, iiat.org, which incorporates its premium technical and management resources site, InfoCentral.

“IIAT continues to experience a substantial increase in the level of services it provides to a growing membership, and the association needed a faster Web response plus the capability to integrate information and tools that the previous site did not provide,” said David VanDelinder, executive director. “Member agencies are becoming increasingly dependent on the Web site for accessing services and products, and we believe we have built a site using the latest technology that can meet member needs today and into the future,” he added.

Some content headings, familiar to regular users, have been revised to more accurately reflect information and tools found there. In addition, the Web site includes: Easy-to-use-and-find Member Services contact information; A clean, streamlined appearance and navigation for ease and speed of use; expanded agency management toolkits on both hiring and new-employee orientation and training; a real-time news ticker with up-to-the minute news feeds from the Insurance Journal; and faster, more secure e-commerce transactions when registering for education classes and seminars, or buying any of the wide range of products and services.

A powerful new feature, MyIIAT, allows members to customize their own links. Users can personalize the homepage by adding any links desired, from the weather to insurance company sites to agency management systems. The goal of MyIIAT is to encourage agency employees to make iiat.org their homepage when they open their browsers.
