Insurance Journal Acquires Claims Guides Directories
Wells Publishing Inc., which has been publishing Insurance Journal for the past 79 years, has added Claims Guides to its list of publications.
Claims Guides, which will be published in 37 different regions across the country, will premiere in Dec. 2002 with a pair of guides for the San Diego area and Northern California. Three regions will be published on a monthly basis.
Katie Robley, vice president of Operations for Insurance Journal, will serve as publisher for the Claims Guides.
Used by more than 40,000 independent claims adjusters, the Claims Guides are a valuable, accurate and reliable tool for adjusters searching for such industry-related professional services as restoration, investigative, repair, and much more. Each regional guide in-cludes fire, hospital and government listings, a directory of insurance companies and adjusters, a glossary of industry terminology, current association information and a calendar.
“We’re delighted to add this publication to our family of insurance products,” Mark Wells, president and publisher of Wells Publishing Inc., said.
Robley, who has been with Wells Publishing Inc. since 1992, added, “Claims Guides is a publication that certainly fits our core product base of successful insurance publications. Since we’ve focused for so many years on the property and casualty group, I’m eager to introduce us to the adjustment segment of the insurance industry.”
Among the projects for Claims Guides is to revamp the Web site (http://www.claimsguides.com.) to make it an even more valuable tool for adjusters.
“We believe we can make the site even more focused,” Robley added. “This is something that’s very important to us for our readers. We want them to feel as at home on the Web site as they do with the actual book in their hands.”
