Progressive drives into W.Va.

The Progressive Group of Insurance Companies has announced it is now offering commercial auto insurance in West Virginia.

While Progressive’s commercial coverages are available directly to consumers by phone and over the Internet, the company said most consumers choose to purchase Drive Commercial Auto insurance from a local independent agent. With the addition of West Virginia, Drive Commercial Auto is now available in 48 states.

“We’re proud to offer West Virginia independent agents and small business owners another choice for their commercial auto needs,” Brett Stalnaker, Drive Commercial Auto’s West Virginia product manager said. “Our technology makes it easy for independent agents to do business with us.”

Drive Commercial Auto specializes in fulfilling the commercial auto insurance needs of small businesses, insuring fleets of up to 20 vehicles with policy limits of up to $1 million.

Already established in the light-local market, the company is focusing on the truck market to provide truck drivers and owner-operators with three critical components for truck insurance, financial stability, exceptional claims service and expert knowledge in trucks.

Unlike most commercial auto carriers that depend on independent adjusters to write estimates for large vehicle and truck repairs, Drive Commercial Auto uses in-house, field specialists located across the country. The field specialist team offers in-depth knowledge and expertise in commercial auto repair estimates. Progressive indicates its typical field specialist has 15 years of truck repair management experience, which helps ensure customers’ truck repairs are done right, and right away.
