Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., Sunday and Associates
Illinois-based Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. announced the acquisition of Sunday and Associates Inc. of Sugarland, Texas.
Established in 1982, Sunday and Associates offers employee benefits consulting and insurance brokerage services for the private and public sector marketplace in Texas. The firm specializes in fee-based group health and welfare services, with an emphasis on platform integration of funding/budget planning, consumer-driven plan designs, managed cost containment strategies and value-based client/member services.
In addition, the agency provides fixed fee-based group benefit consulting services to the public sector through their division, City-County Benefits Services.
Burke Sunday, Robert Treacy and their associates will continue to operate in their current location under the direction of John Neumaier, South Central Regional executive vice president of Gallagher’s employee benefit consulting and brokerage operations.
Digital Insurance, DSG Benefits Group
Employee benefits-only agency, Digital Insurance, has acquired DSG Benefits Group in Dallas. The acquisition marks the company’s debut in the Texas market.
The Dallas firm now operates under the banner of Digital Benefit Advisors (DBA), a division of Digital Insurance. David Goldfarb, founder and president of DSG Benefits Group, and his entire staff joined forces with DBA to provide enhanced offerings to their clients.
DSG Benefits Group has grown rapidly since being established in 2004, and today is recognized industry-wide for its visionary approach to employee benefits. The firm represents hundreds of employers, insures tens of thousands of employees and is licensed in more than 30 states.
SIAA
The Strategic Insurance Agency Alliance (SIAA) has added seven new members in South Central states. They are: Tilghman Insurance & Financial Services of Edmond, Okla.; Legacy Risk Management of Tulsa, Okla.; Premier Choice Insurance of San Angelo, Texas; Johnie Brown Agency of Sapulpa, Okla; Riviera Insurance of Dallas; Stephen Catlin Insurance of Wichita Falls, Texas; and Josh Smith Insurance Services of Lake Dallas, Texas.
Since it’s inception in 1995, SIAA has signed over 4,000 new members.
InsureZone, MSI Group
Fort Worth, Texas-based InsureZone has acquired Denver-based MSI Group, with agencies in 20 states. The purchase adds 63 agencies to InsureZone’s network/cluster program.
MSI Group provides agency members with access to major carriers for personal lines and commercial lines of business, as well as life and health lines, and investments if desired, according to information posted on its website.
The InsureZone Direct model will be expanded to other states by adding zone managers that have ownership rights in defined geographic areas.
CRC/Crump, Preferred Concepts
CRC|Crump has signed an agreement to acquire select assets of Preferred Concepts’ Preferred Brokerage business unit. J.C. Sparling, who led Preferred Brokerage, will be joining CRC|Crump as a senior vice president and senior property. He will be based in Atlanta, Ga.
Sparling has more than 20 years of insurance experience and was one of the original founders of Mercator Risk Services.
Preferred Concepts LLC is an insurance program administrator and wholesale broker founded in 1989 by Stuart Farber.
CRC, based in Birmingham, Ala., is the second largest wholesale broker in the United States.
