Digital Insurance, SEBS of the Midwest
Benefits-only agency, Digital Insurance, has acquired Strategic Employee Benefits Services (SEBS) of the Midwest. The firm now operates under the banner of Digital Benefit Advisors (DBA), a division of Digital Insurance.
Dean Haage, principal, and key staff members of SEBS of the Midwest have joined DBA and will continue to provide service to all clients.
Haage established SEBS of the Midwest about a decade ago. The firm serves some 250 small- and mid-sized employers.
Marsh & McLennan Agency, Security Insurance Services
Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC (MMA), a subsidiary of insurance broker Marsh Inc., has acquired Security Insurance Services Inc., one of the largest insurance agencies in Wisconsin.
Established in 1983, Security Insurance Services has annual revenue of approximately $10 million and offers a broad range of property/casualty and employee benefits products and services to a variety of businesses and individuals throughout the Midwest. It has particular specialties in the senior living health care, construction and manufacturing industries.
Security Insurance Services will operate as a division of RJF, a Marsh & McLennan Agency company, expanding MMA’s presence in Wisconsin.
All of Security Insurance Services’ 65 employees, including President and CEO Scott Naze, will join MMA’s upper Midwest hub and continue to work out of offices in New Berlin and Appleton, Wis.
InPro Insurance Group, Industrial Insurance Services
InPro Insurance Group, a Troy, Mich.-based independent insurance agency, has acquired Industrial Insurance Services Inc. of Troy.
Through the agreement, the Industrial Insurance Services’ team and book of health insurance business will be integrated into InPro’s existing personal, commercial, and life and health business. The transaction became effective July 1.
The Industrial Insurance Services team — including Paul Pomerleau, Chuck Pomerleau, Kristin Hendren and Kate DiAntonio — will join InPro’s Troy office, gaining access to the company’s portfolio of commercial and personal insurance products and resources.
InPro currently employs 28 professionals counseling clients regarding personal, commercial, and life and health insurance needs.
InPro Insurance Group is a full-service independent insurance agency that offers competitive personal, commercial, life and health insurance products for individuals, groups and companies. Located in Troy, Mich., the company began in 1973 as Expert Underwriters.
Arthur J. Gallagher, Miller Buettner & Parrott
Insurance broker Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has acquired Miller Buettner & Parrott Inc. in Rockford, Ill.
Founded in 1998, Miller Buettner & Parrott is an employee benefits insurance broker and consultant offering a broad range of employee benefits insurance and consulting services to clients throughout the central United States.
The firm specializes in group life, accident, health, dental, vision, prescription, wellness, voluntary and disability plans. Laurie S. Miller and her associates will continue to operate at their current location under the direction of William Ziebell, North Central regional executive vice president of Gallagher’s employee benefit consulting and brokerage operation.
CBIZ Inc., Stoltz and Co.
Ohio-based professional business services firm, CBIZ Inc., announced it has acquired the assets of insurance firm Stoltz and Co. LTD., L.L.P., of Midland, Texas, effective July 1.
With operations in Midland, San Antonio and Amarillo, Texas, Stoltz and Co. was founded by Mark A. Stoltz in 1990. Stoltz and Co. is an established southwest regional insurance broker specializing in multiple insurance products and services including property/casualty insurance, personal lines and employee benefits, and specializes in oil and gas related risk management.
The acquisition of Stoltz and Co. will add 13 employees and is expected to add $3.2 million in annualized revenue to CBIZ, according to the announcement.
