Dunlap Insurance Agency, ISU Network
Dunlap Insurance Agency of Orange, Calif., joined the ISU Network.
Founded in 1992, ISU Dunlap Insurance Agency specializes in manufacturing, construction and health accounts. Tom Dunlap serves as president of ISU Dunlap Insurance Agency and was a past president of the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters Society — Orange Empire Chapter.
The ISU Network, founded in 1979 and headquartered in San Francisco, consists of 100 independently owned and operated offices nationwide.
Brown & Brown, Nies Insurance Agency
Brown & Brown Inc. subsidiary Fullerton & Co. Inc., acquired substantially all of the assets of Nies Insurance Agency Inc.
With annual revenues of about $2.7 million, Nies Insurance Agency has served the personal, commercial, and employee benefits insurance needs of clients in the greater Portland, Ore./Vancouver, Wash., area for 39 years. Gerald L. “Jerry” Nies, currently president of Nies Insurance, and his team will continue to serve their clients from their Camas and Battle Ground, Wash., locations, under the leadership of Tim Nielsen, vice president of Fullerton & Co.
The transaction does not include the joint venture between Nies Insurance Agency and iQ Credit Union, which will continue to operate separately.
Daytona Beach, Fla.-based Brown & Brown Inc. and its subsidiaries offer insurance and reinsurance products and services, as well as risk management, third-party administration, managed health care, and Medicare set-aside services and programs.
TWFG
Texas-based retail and managing general agency, The Woodlands Financial Group Inc. (TWFG), opened three new branch locations — one each in Texas, Oklahoma and Oregon.
Berry Olinghouse opened a new branch location in Owasso, Okla. Olinghouse comes to TWFG with eight years of industry experience. She started as life and health agent and then worked for the Oklahoma Farm Bureau as a CSR. She also worked for a brief period at American National and the Farm Bureau.
Maria Marquez opened a branch location in Highland Village, Texas. Marquez has 11 years of experience in the insurance industry, most of which were with Farmers Insurance.
Cable Hogue opened a new branch location in Forest Grove, Ore. Hogue has spent six years in the insurance industry, all of which were with Farmers where he started working part-time while in college. With Farmers, Hogue was a top producing auto agent in his district for four years.
