Farmers, EsSix
The Farmers Insurance Group of Companies and EsSix Agency in Baton Rouge, La., have joined forces to provide Louisiana agents with a way to write Farmers business through EsSix. As such, Farmers and EsSix are currently looking for new agents to join their team.
“Farmers is committed to working with independent agents in Louisiana and would like to help them grow with the company,” stated Jerry Payne, Southeastern Zone executive director for Farmers. “EsSix is the perfect starting point for that. Grocers Insurance Agency, a member of the Select Markets segment of San Antonio-based Argonaut Group Inc. launched a health and benefits insurance brokerage line that will provide products and services tailored to the needs of its food industry customer base, and plans to expand its offerings to other specialty markets served by Argonaut companies in the coming year.
The company said Grocers’ clients will now have access to expertise and specialized services to develop efficient and cost effective health and benefits programs. Grocers works with its client to produce solid information and analysis on the best way to deliver affordable benefits based on the size and special characteristics of a client’s business.
A wide variety of program options are available, including self-funded plans, providing independent food merchants with the choices they need to maintain a competitive position in today’s marketplace, the company said.
BCBS of Okla., State Chamber
The Oklahoma State Chamber and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma made available Oklahoma Chamber Blue, a health insurance plan developed to serve Oklahoma small businesses. To be eligible for Oklahoma Chamber Blue, a business must have fewer than 100 employees and be located in one of 62 counties outside the Oklahoma City and Tulsa metro areas. Businesses also must be a member of either The State Chamber or one of more than 200 local chambers of commerce across the state.
Businesses in the Tulsa and Oklahoma City metro areas already have access to Chamber Choice-a similar affordable health plan offered through partnerships of Blue Cross and Blue Shield, the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce and the Tulsa Metro Chamber.
The new Oklahoma Chamber Blue expands affordable coverage for chamber members statewide. Oklahoma Chamber Blue is available to eligible businesses in all Oklahoma counties except those Tulsa- and Oklahoma City-area counties listed below. Oklahoma City Chamber Choice is available in Oklahoma, Pottawatomie, Logan, Cleveland, Canadian and McClain counties. Tulsa Chamber Choice is available in Tulsa, Creek, Muskogee, Okmulgee, Osage, Pawnee, Rogers, Wagoner and Washington counties.
