CMR’s commitment to community impact was on full display this quarter as our Charity Committee selected Adjoin’s Veterans Division as our Q2 volunteer partner. The choice reflects a shared mission: supporting individuals and families as they build stability and move forward with dignity.
On April 28th, the CMR team gathered in our office for a hands-on volunteer event focused on assembling “welcome home” kits for veterans transitioning into stable housing. These kits are a small but meaningful gesture—designed to provide essential household items and a warm message of support as families begin a new chapter.
Adjoin’s Veterans Division plays a critical role in addressing housing insecurity among veteran families. Through housing stability services and temporary financial assistance, the organization helps those experiencing homelessness—or at risk of it—secure safe, stable living situations. Many of the families they serve are starting over with very few belongings, which makes these welcome kits especially impactful.
With that in mind, our team rolled up our sleeves and got to work. The room was filled with energy and purpose as employees collaborated to pack baskets with basic home essentials and handwritten welcome cards. It was more than just an activity—it was an opportunity to express gratitude and support for those who have served our country.
By the end of the event, the CMR team had assembled 50 welcome home baskets. Each one represents not just supplies, but a message: you are supported, and you are not alone.
We’re proud to partner with organizations like Adjoin that are making a tangible difference in our communities. Opportunities like this remind us that even small acts of service can have a lasting impact.
