It Helps to Have a Village
I was recently asked to join the team for the latest product from Wells Media Group, a website and eNewsletter called Carrier Management. I was brought in to sell advertising space, and when I joined the rest of the team, the product was 99% completed. But seeing that 1% of the process come together before the launch was truly exciting.
Having the opportunity to work with people in different parts of the company, I am getting to break out of my own little world in sales and see ideas come together from so many different perspectives and experiences.
If you need a source for fresh ideas, try putting together a group from different parts of the company and see what they come up with. The group method isn’t always the greatest strategy if you need to get quick decisions made, but it’s a great vehicle for generating ideas.
